I will be having extensive back surgery on Monday, May 3rd, and will be in the hospital several days followed by extended recovery time at home. Therefore, I will not be posting these daily devotions for while, but will be back as soon as possible. I appreciate your prayers.

I retired from the U.S. Army in December, 1984 with 30 years of service. In 1986, I answered God's call to the gospel ministry, and for the past 32 years have served as pastor, minister of education, and director of missions. I am a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, Arkadelphia, Arkansas and Baylor University, Waco, Texas. I am blessed with a wonderful wife of 65 years, two great children, six fantastic grandchildren, and four fabulous great-grandchrildren.
